After record-breaking temperatures this summer, the time to switch on the heating is drawing near.
T-SHIRT AND SHORTS season is nearing its end, if you haven’t already noticed the first hints of autumn in the air.
Last week, Met Éireann confirmed that Ireland experienced its warmest summer on record, with an average temperature of 16.19 degrees over the past three months. However, the start of September has brought a slight drop in temperatures, particularly in the mornings and evenings.
While it’s not quite time to reach for hats and scarves, many are already resisting the urge to turn on the heating, knowing it could lead to higher energy bills as the colder months approach.
