Homeless man receives job offers after photo of his handwritten CV goes viral

The tweet has been shared over 3,000 times.

A HOMELESS MAN is off the streets and is receiving job offers after a tweet of his CV went viral on Twitter.

Jordan Lockett handed one of his handwritten CVs to 18-year-old Aaron O’Dwyer in Liverpool after the student gave the homeless man some money.

The CV started off by stating, “I’m sick of wasting away now” and explained “I write my CVs like this because I don’t have anything to put on it”. It ended:

Very fast learner and hard worker. Can I afford not to be? Any chances?

The tweet has been shared over 3,000 times and the story soon appeared in local media where it caught the attention of local business people.

O’Dwyer told The Liverpool Echo that he tweeted out the CV because, “I thought that if I mentioned it, someone might know him or someone might offer him some help – the reaction has been amazing.”

One businessman told the paper, “Me and my wife wanted to do something to help – he’s just a young lad.

The fact his CVs were all handwritten really stood out to me – he’s taken a lot of time to try and change his situation.
