New arrest after burglars raid home of woman and child with nail bar

The aggravated burglary took place in December last year and burglars made off with a sum of money and the owner’s car.

A THIRD MAN has been arrested over an aggravated burglary which saw four men burst into a house in Howth, Dublin, and threaten a woman and her eight-year-old daughter with a nail bar.

On 13 December last year, four men entered the house, two at the front door and two at the rear and demanded money from the woman. They made of with a sum of money and escaped with the owner’s car which they later abandoned. The woman and her child were not injured in the incident.

In April, a 32-year-old man and 42-year old man were arrested in connection with it and have since been release, with a file due to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

This morning a third man, a 46-year-old, was also arrested. He is being held at Raheny Garda Station.
