Gardaí investigating after injured man airlifted to hospital from Inis Mór

The man was taken to hospital in Galway.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING a possible assault after a man was found injured and was airlifted to hospital from Inis Mór late last night.

The 47-year-old was taken to Galway University Hospital in the early hours of this morning after being injured in the Kilronan village on the largest Aran Island.

Gardaí have said they are investigating whether the man was the victim of an assault.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
