Investigation into Dublin tiger kidnapping underway

AIB official’s wife taken from her home early this morning by armed gang.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are investigating a suspected tiger kidnapping involving the wife of an AIB employee working at the bank’s Clondalkin Village branch, RTÉ reports.

Up to three people are believed to be involved, and one was armed with a shotgun.

The bank official was ordered to obtain a sum of cash and await further instructions, after his wife was taken from their home in Templeogue early this morning.

The woman was released before 1pm at Enniskerry in Co Wicklow, and raised the alarm.

The group may have escaped with up to €300,000.
