August is Irish craft month, designed to celebrate Ireland’s rich crafting history.

YOU MAY NOT have heard, but apparently August is ‘Craft Month’ in Ireland.

For the next few weeks, the Design and Crafts Council Ireland and Craft Northern Ireland will be celebrating all things relating to Irish crafts.

Ireland has a rich history of craftmanship, dating as far back as the Stone Age.
