BY THIS TIME tomorrow we will know where the taxpayers’ money will be going in 2018 (and how your personal household budget will be impacted).
The details will become apparent after Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe’s Budget 2018 announcement at 1pm tomorrow in the Dáil. We will be bringing you all of the measures and changes that affect you, your family and community, along with analysis and commentary.
Then on Wednesday evening, when you’ve had time to digest the facts and figures, TheJournal.ie will host a special one-off Facebook Live with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and Minister Donohoe.

Kicking off at 8pm on Wednesday from Facebook’s Dublin HQ, we will be putting some of your concerns and observations to the Taoiseach and the minister, and digging into the thinking behind the decisions made for the country and what it means for our collective future.
If you want to be part of the conversation, we will be giving TheJournal.ie audience a chance to submit questions and thoughts on an open thread going live on our site on Tuesday evening. We will also be taking some questions on Wednesday night from our Facebook followers who are watching the live chat with our political reporter Christina Finn putting those to Minister Donohoe and Taoiseach Varadkar.
