Love Island filming suspended and villa evacuated due to wildfires

THE PRODUCTION OF the reality TV show Love Island: All Stars has been suspended and the set has been evacuated due to wildfires in South Africa.

The third season of the spin-off from the wildly popular show was due to air on Monday but Virgin Media said today that following an assessment of the location, filming was put on hold.

“Further to a production evacuation owing to ongoing wildfires in the area, our assessment of the location site has concluded that filming will need to be postponed,” the broadcaster said.

“Health and safety is our greatest priority and will always come first, and therefore the transmission of Love Island: All Stars will be delayed until a date to be confirmed.”

Among the cast of returning contestants is Irishman Jack Keating, the son of singer Ronan Keating of Boyzone fame.
