Lowry and Healy-Rae likely to back Finance Bill

THE CRUCIAL VOTE on the Second Stage of the Finance Bill is due in the Dáil in the coming minutes… but it looks like the government has been handed a last-minute reprieve after Michael Lowry released a statement indicating that the government had offered concessions on tax-deductible student registration fees, and to rush through an amendment levying a 90 per cent tax on bankers’ bonuses.
