Bus and Luas disruption after fire breaks out on Grafton Street in early hours

LUAS AND BUS services in Dublin city centre have been disrupted after a fire broke out at a premises on Grafton Street.
Dublin Fire Brigade said it was alerted to reports of a fire in a building opposite Trinity College at 6.30am. No injuries have been reported.
“Firefighters from Tara Street and Dolphins Barn fire station were immediately sent to the incident,” the department said.
Five fire engines, including a turntable ladder, attended the scene.
“The fire is under control and we have requested the assistance of ESB Networks, Gas Networks Ireland to the incident,” the fire department said.
“Dublin City Council Environmental services are also on scene to remove debris from ground level.”
Firefighters remain at the scene “cooling hotspots and extinguishing any remaining pockets of fire”.
Luas said its Green Line service was “not operating between the Dominick St and Stephen’s Green stops in Dublin city centre”, but since then trams and road traffic have been seen passing by the site of the fire and onto Nassau Street.
Luas has apologised for the disruption and advised passengers that their tickets are valid on Dublin Bus services.
