Man arrested after child and adults die in fire

The house fire occurred in south east Wales this morning – a 27-year-old man has been arrested by police.

A MAN HAS been arrested on suspicion of arson in Wales after three people died in a house fire in Cwmbran.

One child and two adults perished in the blaze at a home in Tillsland, Coed Eva.

Police in Gwent said they received a call from the fire service at 3.30am this morning about the incident.

Fire service and Gwent Police forensic investigations will begin this morning and officers will also be conducting house-to-house inquiries in the area.

Police said a 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and is currently in custody.

The BBC reports that the top floor of the building is “burnt out”.
