A MAN ARRESTED in connection with a fatal hit and run incident in Co Offaly yesterday has been released without charge.
The man in his 50s was arrested yesterday but was released this lunchtime without charge. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions, Gardaí say.
A man his 20s, named locally as James Dillon, a father of two, was struck by a car near Killeigh in the early hours of yesterday morning.
He was taken to Tullamore General Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
