Man charged in connection with Lusk drug seizure

Gardaí found €250,000 worth of cannabis herb during a search in Lusk as part of an ongoing operation targeting the criminal activity of a North Dublin crime gang.

A MAN HAS been charged in connection with the seizure of drugs in Lusk.

The drugs were found during a search of a car and a van at Tooman in Lusk on Monday evening.

Gardaí said that as part of an ongoing operation targeting the criminal activity of a North Dublin crime gang, gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit stopped and searched a van and a car shortly before 8pm on 8 April at Tooman, Lusk Co Dublin.

Three males were arrested during the operation. One of these males has been charged and will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate St at 10.30am today.

The other two males were released without charge.

During the course of the search of the van and car yesterday, gardaí discovered approximately €250,000 of cannabis herb (subject to analysis).
