Man dies after Tolka River fall

The 47-year-old was pulled from the water by Dublin Fire Brigade, but later died in hospital.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who fell into the Tolka River in Dublin yesterday evening.

The 47-year-old man entered the water at around 7.30pm.

He was taken from the water by Dublin Fire Brigade and brought to the Mater Hospital. However, he died at around 3.30am this morning.

An investigation is underway, though the death is not being treated as suspicious.
