Man dies in Westmeath crash

The man in his 20s was involved in a two car collision near Mullingar.

A MAN HAS died after a road crash in Mullingar in Co Westmeath yesterday evening.

The man in his mid-20s was the driver and sole occupant of one of the cars involved in a two-car collision on the N52 Mullingar to Tullamore road at Belvedere at around 4.40pm yesterday, RTÉ reports.

He died from his injuries at Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar. Two men in the other car were treated at the hospital for their injuries which are not life-threatening. Gardaí have appealed for anyone with any information to contact them.
