Man dies after falling into canal in Dublin

Gardaí are investigating the incident.

A MAN IN his 50s has died after falling into a canal in Dublin.

At about 3am today gardaí and emergency services were called to the incident at Ninth Lock, Clondalkin.

A local man was taken from the canal. He was removed by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The coroner has been notified and a post-mortem will be carried out.

Gardaí in Ronanstown are investigating the incident. Foul play is not suspected at this time.
