Man hospitalised following late-night Birr shooting
A MAN in his twenties has been hospitalised following a shooting overnight in Birr, Co Offaly. The man sustained a single gunshot wound to the leg shortly after midnight, and was taken to Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore where he is described as being in a stable condition. An examination the crime scene is underway and inquiries are ongoing. Witnesses can call Birr Garda Station at 057 9120016.
