Man in his 80s seriously injured after being struck by bus in Bray

The incident occurred shortly before 6pm yesterday.

A MAN IN his 80s has been seriously injured after being hit by a bus in Bray, Co Wicklow yesterday evening.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident on Station Road shortly before 6pm.

The pedestrian, a man aged in his 80s, was taken to St Vincent’s University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

The road remains closed while gardaí carry out an examination of the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

“Road users and pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were in the area between 5:40pm and 6:10pm are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí,” a garda spokesperson said.

“Investigations are ongoing,” the garda spokesperson added.
