Couple charged with kidnapping and human trafficking for sexual exploitation after woman rescued

The man was also charged with two cases of rape.

A MAN AND woman have been charged after a 29-year-old woman was rescued in the Dungannon area of Tyrone earlier this week.

The woman was rescued during an investigation into human trafficking. A number of searches were carried out after concerns were raised about her safety.

A man (32) and woman (20) have been charged with a number of offences including human trafficking for sexual exploitation, controlling prostitution and kidnapping.

The man was also charged with two cases of rape.

The pair are due to appear at Strabane Magistrates’ Court today.
