Searches continue for missing James Sheehan

James was last seen on Sunday morning at around 3am in Arklow, Co Wicklow.

LOCALS AND GARDAÍ have been taking part in searches for James Sheehan, who was reported missing from Arklow, Co Wicklow, early on Sunday morning.

A spokesperson from the garda press office said that locals and gardaí were out searching today in the town, including around the vicinity of where James was last seen.

The search included the banks of the Avoca River.

James Sheehan (pictured above/right), is 18 years of age and from Ballyduff Road, Arklow, Co Wicklow.

Gardaí said that James was last seen leaving a night club in Arklow on Sunday morning 19 August 2012 at approximately 2.38am. RTÉ reports that the teenager got a lift to the Willow Grove housing estate after spending time at a nightclub, but has not been seen since he walked back into town.

He is described as being 6’2” in height, of athletic build, and with short red hair that is tightly cut.

When last seen, James was wearing a light grey Henley brand hoodie which has neon orange lining. He was also wearing blue jeans and tan-coloured Kickers brand shoes.

Dublin

In a separate case, gardaí in Dublin are continuing to seek the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 27-year-old Tomas Cronin, who has been missing since Wednesday 8 August 2012.

Tomas was last seen on Leopardstown Avenue, Co Dublin on 8 August. It is thought he may have travelled to the UK but gardaí said that this cannot be confirmed at this stage.

He is described as being 5’ 9” in height with green eyes, brown hair and of heavy set. It is not known what Tomas was wearing on the 8 August.

Gardaí said that Tomas is on medication and it is important that that this medication is taken daily.
