Missing five-year-old returns to Wales from Ireland as father surrenders to police

Brian Owens failed to appear at a court hearing last week.

A FATHER WHO was wanted by police after disappearing with his five-year-old daughter surrendered himself to officers after returning from Ireland yesterday.

North Wales Police have been investigating the whereabouts of Brian Owens (26) and his daughter Molly since he failed to appear before Caernarfon Magistrates Court where he was due to be sentenced.

The police said yesterday that they believed the pair were in Ireland.

Superintendent Nigel Harrison has since confirmed that Owens and his daughter returned to Holyhead from Ireland yesterday evening.

Owens surrendered to authorities on his return.

He is due to appear in court today.
