Digital bank Monzo has launched in Ireland – will you use it?

A new bank has entered the Irish market.

MONZO, THE UK’S leading digital bank, has officially launched in Ireland.

The online bank is entering a competitive digital banking market as it joins the likes of Revolut and Zippay, which has recently been integrated into AIB, PTSB and Bank of Ireland apps.

Monzo is the first digital bank to secure a full banking licence from the Central Bank of Ireland (Revolut operates in Europe under a Lithuanian banking licence).

Michael Carney, Monzo’s EU CEO, said the response to the bank’s waitlist, now estimated at 100,000 customers, shows a strong demand for the service.

So, we’re asking: Will you use Monzo?
