Multiple arrests in mother-of-five murder

The woman was killed earlier in the month at her home in east Belfast.

THE PSNI HAS arrested five people on suspicion of the murder of a mother-of-five in east Belfast.

Those arrested were three men aged 52, 46, and 33 and two women aged 44 and 46.

Deborah Hunter had previously complained to police about having been assaulted.

The arrests were carried out by detectives from the Serious Crime Branch.

Speaking today, Detective Chief Inspector Alan Dickson said:

“The 50 year old was found dead in her home at Finmore Court, off the Newtownards Road, on Thursday 6th November. ”

Officers are now treating her death as murder.
