Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and dancer Johannes Radebe announced as new Strictly hosts

Former hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced their departure from the show last October.

BROADCASTER EMMA WILLIS, comedian Josh Widdicombe and professional dancer Johannes Radebe have been announced as the new hosts of Strictly Come Dancing.

The hosting trio was announced on the show’s Instagram page this afternoon.

Reports emerged last week that Willis was poised to take over hosting duties, while speculation had grown about Widdicombe in recent days.

Former hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced their departure from the show last October.

When reports emerged about Willis, her speculated co-host was BBC presenter Zoe Ball. Last week, she confirmed on her Dig It podcast that she was not chosen for the job.

Willis has had a long career in presenting, which included helming Big Brother and The Voice UK and most recently presenting Netflix’s Love Is Blind UK alongside her husband Matt Willis.

Widdicome is best known for his appearance on various shows including The Last Leg and his BBC Three sitcom Josh.

Radebe is a former professional dancer on the show from with past partners including actress Alex Kingston, Olympian Montell Douglas and broadcaster Caroline Quentin.

Winkleman presented the BBC staple for 11 years, while Daly has been involved since the show began 21 years ago when she hosted alongside the late Bruce Forsyth.

They announced their departure in a joint video on social media last October.

In a separate post on Instagram, Daly said: ”Strictly has always been about joy, celebration and bringing people together – and I’m so proud to have played a small part in something that continues to mean so much to so many.”

Winkleman also made her own statement on social media at the time, saying: “I’ve always believed it’s best to leave a party before you’re fully ready to go, and I know the new hosts will be magnificent.”

They accepted the BAFTA TV Award for best entertainment programme in 2024.
