Woman dies after car enters canal in Newry
The incident occurred earlier this afternoon on the Fathom line.
A WOMAN HAS died after the car she was driving entered a canal in Northern Ireland.
The incident occurred earlier this afternoon on the Fathom Line, when the black-coloured car she was driving entered the water.
The woman has been named by the PSNI as 50-year-old Patricia Campbell from the Newry area.
The road remains closed this evening.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police.
