Oval Office given a facelift ahead of presidential address

They’re going to have to review those West Wing scenes…

THE OVAL OFFICE, arguably the most famous presidential office in the world, has been given a facelift ahead of tonight’s presidential address.

President Obama is due to speak at 8pm on primetime US television about the country’s final withdrawal from Iraq.

The renovation replaces some of his predecessor’s favoured furnishings, including a sunburst rug designed by Laura Bush.

The White House did not comment on the cost of the renovation, saying that it was paid for by the non-profit group, the White House Historical Association, and not the taxpayer.
