Pedestrian killed in Cork this morning

The 33-year-old died in hospital.

A 33-YEAR-OLD man has died after he was hit by a car in Cork this morning.

The pedestrian was taken to Cork University Hospital. He later passed away.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

It happened on the Cork side of Castlemartyr village on the N25 at approximately 5.15 this morning.

The road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place at the Two Mile Inn and in Castlemartyr village via Mogeely.
