Search on for missing South African man

Chandrakant Ravgee was last seen in Dublin Airport on 9 June this year.

GARDAÍ ARE SEEKING the public’s assistance in the search for a South African man who arrived in Ireland last week but never made contact with relatives.

The man, named Chandrakant Ravgee, has been missing since Thursday 9 June 2011

Chandrakant is 64 years old and from South Africa.

He has failed to make contact with relatives since his arrival at Dublin Airport 9 June at 8.40am.

He is described as being approximately 5ft 4 inches in height, of thin build, and with black hair.

Gardaí have obtained CCTV footage which shows Chandrakant in Dublin Airport but do not know where he went when he left the building.

An investigation is ongoing and CCTV footage is being viewed to determine his next movements.

When last seen at Dublin Airport, he was wearing a distinctive jacket which was blue, purple and red in colour with a diamond on a spotted pattern.

He was also wearing blue jeans which were faded at the thighs, and blue/grey runners.
