Three further arrests in connection with Shane Rossiter murder

Six people who were arrested yesterday remain in garda custody and one man has been released.

GARDAÍ IN TIPPERARTY investigating the murder of Shane Rossiter on 17 October have made three further arrests.

Three men who range in age from late 20s to early 40s were arrested this evening in the Tipperary area. They are detained at various garda stations in Tipperary under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Rossiter was shot at a house in the Tipperary village of Golden at around 6.45am on 17 October and was taken to Tipperary General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Yesterday seven people – five men and two women – were arrested in connection with Rossiter’s death.

Gardaí said six of the seven people arrested yesterday also remain in garda custody as part of this investigation. One of the men arrested during yesterday morning’s operation was released without charge earlier today.

This evening Gardaí said the investigation is ongoing.
