TWO PEOPLE HAVE been charged after a shotgun was discharged in a play park.
The incident happened on Dover Street in Belfast on Thursday.
Dover Street is located just off the Shankill Road in the west of the city.
Two individuals have been charged with involvement in the incident and are set to appear before the Belfast Magistrates’ Court later today.
A 33-year-old woman has been charged with possessing a prohibited weapon and a firearm with the intent to cause fear of violence.
A 26-year-old man has been charged with assaulting police and discharging a firearm in a public place.
The PSNI has said that, according to normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
