Poll: Should we have a referendum on the 8th Amendment?

Recent events have brought abortion back into the national debate.

ALL THIS WEEK, the country has been gripped in a debate about abortion and the 8th Amendment to the Constitution, which gives an unborn child an equal right to life as that of its mother.

On Wednesday, however, Minister Charlie Flanagan said there was “no appetite” for another referendum surrounding the 8th Amendment.
