SIX PEOPLE HAVE been arrested over the murder of an eastern European national in Westmeath earlier this year.
The body of Silvestras Stoskus was found on 18 March by a local farmer who was out walking in Broadford, Co Kildare.
The six arrested include three men and three women, aged from their mid-20s to their mid-40s.
These individuals are currently being held in Lucan, Naas, Athlone and Mullingar Garda Stations under the Criminal Justice Act and the Offences Against the State Act.
When the Stoskus’ body was discovered he had been missing from his home in Kinnegad for 10 days.
A murder investigation was brought forward by gardaí in Leixlip following a post mortem carried out by the State Pathologist.
