What age should children be allowed their first smartphone?
There are huge concerns over the access smartphones give children to the internet.
MINISTER FOR CHILDREN Norma Foley wants parents to ban smartphones in their children’s bedrooms.
She told The Journal that TV programs like Netflix’s Adolescence are “reminding us that we have to be so vigilant in this space. We have to be so mindful to protect our children”.
In her view, children who are still in primary school should not have access to a smartphone.
