Gardaí arrest man over fatal stabbing of wheelchair user

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a man in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 61-year-old wheelchair user in Dublin.

Anthony Rogers, who was 61, was stabbed multiple times at his home at Robinson’s Court, Cork Street at about 2.30pm on 6 November.

He was taken by ambulance to St James’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Gardaí from the detective unit at Kevin Street garda station and the garda south central task force arrested a 35-year old man in the East Wall area of Dublin this morning at around 7.30am.

The arrested man is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Kevin Street Garda Station.
