Man charged over fatal stabbing of 25-year-old man in Co Clare

Two other men have been released without charge.

A MAN HAS been charged by gardaí following the fatal stabbing of 25-year-old Karl Haugh in county Clare.

The stabbing happened at Marion Estate, Kilkee at around 1.15am yesterday morning. The victim was from the town.

The 21-year-old man charged over the incident will appear before Ennis District Court tomorrow morning at 11am.

Two other men who were arrested over the incident have been released without charge.

The 25-year-old received serious stab wounds and was removed to University Hospital Limerick where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí have appealed to witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident or have information to contact them at Kilrush Garda Station 065 90 80 550, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
