1. #IMF: The international press continues to monitor Ireland ahead of the government’s announcement of the cost of the Anglo bailout on Thurdsday, and it ain’t pretty. The price of Irish government debt reached yet another record, and Bloomberg says the ECB have been buying more Irish debt to try and keep the price down.
2. #AIR TRAVEL: Strikes in Belgium today and Spain tomorrow are disrupting Irish flights travelling between the countries. A number of Aer Lingus and Ryanair flights have already been cancelled, while Ryanair is asking travellers to only bring hand luggage on tomorrow’s flights to and from Spain.
3. #MEXICO: A landslide has covered up to 300 houses in Oaxaca, southern Mexcio, the BBC reports. Up to 600 people may have been buried, according to the state governor. Emergency crews are being dispatched to the area from Mexico City to help with rescue efforts.
4. #GOLF: European Ryder Cup captaim Colin Montgomerie has apparently covered all bases in his preparation for the tournament by having already penned a speech in case his team loses.
5. #KOREA: As Kim Jong-Il promotes his youngest son to a top military position, we give you five things you didn’t know about the North Korean leader, including his love of pizza and Bond films.
