1. #STRIKE Airport misery may be on the way for thousands of passenger due to fly with Aer Lingus next week. The airline’s pilots are threatening industrial action beginning next Tuesday in a row over rostering.

2. #BURN THE BONDHOLDERS Irish Life and Permanent and EBS have joined Bank of Ireland in announcing plans to burn junior bondholders.

3. #POLITICAL REFORM It’s been confirmed that State funding for political parties will be cut if they don’t address any gender imbalance, while environment minister Phil Hogan has also announced today that the limits on donations that political parties and election candidates can accept are to be lowered.

4. #MLADIC Suspected war criminal Ratko Mladic is facing extradition to The Hague after Serbian judges rejected his appeal, which he had sent by post in an attempt to delay the process. He faces charges of genocide and other war crimes, which he denies.

5. #SEX AND THE FAIR CITY Former Fair City actress Claudia Carroll has denied stealing lines from Sex and the City and other TV sitcoms for her latest book. A London-based blogger has exposed some similarities between the novel and lines from SATC, Friends, Will and Grace and Bridget Jones’ Diary.
