Man charged in connection with 'chainsaw robbery'

The incident happened in Tallaght in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A MAN HAS been charged in connection with an incident at a fast food outlet in Tallaght yesterday.

The 40-year-old is set to appear before Tallaght District Court at 10.30am this morning.

A second man, 23, is also set to appear before the court on separate charges.

The incident happened at a fast food outlet in Old Bawn Shopping centre in Tallaght in the early hours of yesterday morning.

During the course of the incident staff were threatened with a chainsaw.

Both men are currently being kept in garda custody.
