Teenage girl dies after car crash in Co Wexford

The male teenage driver of the car appeared before court on 11 July.

A TEENAGE GIRL has died following a car crash in Co Wexford.

The girl was a passenger in a car, together with another girl and a boy. The boy was driving the car.

The collision took place at Sheastown Wellington Bridge, Wexford on Wednesday 8 July at approximately 6:20am.

All three were taken to hospital for treatment of their injuries. The girl passed away in hospital on Friday.

The driver of the car, a male aged in his late teens, has been arrested and charged in relation to this incident. He appeared before Carlow District Court on 11 July.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
