1. #FIRE: Gardaí are investigating a fire at a hotel in Co Leitrim last night in what is the second suspected attack on the premises, which has been earmarked for asylum seekers.

2. #SERVICE RESUMES: The HSE has said it is endeavouring to restore services to normal after the suspension of the three planned strike days by nurses and midwives.

3. #RIP GORDON BANKS: Tributes have been paid to English World Cup-winning goalkeeper Gordon Banks who has died aged 81.

4. #LAWFUL DETENTION: The High Court has ruled that anti-eviction activist’s Ben Gilroy continued detention in prison over his failure to complete an 80-hour community service order is lawful.

5. #SORRY: Health Minister Simon Harris has told the Dáil he “sincerely apologises” for not adding further detail when asked about the costs of the construction of the National Children’s Hospital.
