A FOUR-YEAR-old girl and three adults died after a tipper truck collision in Bath in the UK.
The lorry overturned onto a Volvo at the bottom of a hill.
Bath police said that a Scania tipper truck lorry “was in collision with two pedestrians and several vehicles in Landsown Lane, Bath, just after 4pm yesterday”.
The young girl was walking with her grandmother when the incident occurred. The four-year-old was killed at the scene. She has been named as Mitzi Rosanna Steady. Her grandmother remains in a critical condition in hospital.
The child’s family released a brief statement through police, saying: ”Mizti Rosanna Steady aged four, loved and missed by us all”.
Meanwhile, three men from South Wales (aged 59, 52 and 34) were in the Volvo car. They also died at the scene from their injuries.
Police said that two people, including the HGV driver, remain in hospital with minor injuries. A man was discharged from hospital care overnight.
Ch Insp Norman Pascal of Bath Police described it as “a tragic incident”. He said police will be “carrying out a full and meticulous investigation to find out what happened”.
