TRAIN SERVICES in the Galway region are getting back to normal this evening following a collision between a train and a car on the western outskirts of the city earlier today. The incident occurred shortly after noon at Murrough, west of the city centre, when the train struck a car passing a level crossing. There were no injuries, but services were disrupted for several hours, RTÉ reports.
