TRIBUTES HAVE BEEN paid to young Corkman Kristian Crowley who died in Melbourne, Australia over the weekend.
Kristian, aged 28 from Ballygarvan, Co Cork, was brought to The Alfred hospital last week after falling from a height and suffering serious head injuries.
Last Sunday, Kristian passed away in the same hospital.
Friends have been paying tribute to the 28-year-old, describing him as a “salt of the earth” man, “strong minded” and “as generous as they come”.
Ballygarvan GAA club members extended their sympathies to the Crowley family, and paid tribute to the former junior player.
Kristin was a brilliant under-age player with Ballygarvan and his loss is devastating. To his Mom, Dad, Leon and Karla, we offer our deepest condolences.
“Ar Dheis Dé go Raibh a Ainm.”
A GoFundMe page set up to help cover medical bills and travel costs has gathered over $31,000 (equal to around €27,000).
