Two injured in separate Dublin shootings

The incidents happened overnight in the Finglas and Dolphin’s Barn areas of Dublin. No arrests have yet been made.

TWO MEN WERE injured in separate shooting incidents in Dublin overnight, one of them is in a serious condition in hospital.

A 42-year-old man is in a serious condition in the Mater Hospital in Dublin following a shooting in Finglas in the early hours of this morning.

The incident happened happened on a lane off Cappagh Road at around 12.50am this morning, reports the Irish Times.

It is understood the man left a friend’s house when the shooting occurred. The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Separately, a man in his 20s was shot  in the leg in a yard at the back of the Barn House pub in Dolphin’s Barn in Dublin 8 last night at around 11.30pm, according to a report.

He is at St James’s Hospital where medics say his condition is stable.
