Two men die in separate accidents while repairing storm damage
The men, aged in their 50s and 70s, died over the weekend.
TWO MEN DIED in separate accidents at the weekend while carrying out repairs caused by recent storms.
A farmer in his 50s died while attempting to repair the roof of a shed. The incident happened in Kilgarriff outside Clonakilty in Co Cork yesterday afternoon.
The man’s body was removed to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will take place.
Separately, gardaí in Bray are investigating the sudden death of a man in his mid-70s that occurred on Saturday at around 3.30pm in Kilmacanogue, Co Wicklow.
The man fell from a ladder while carrying out repairs to his farm shed. His body was removed to St Columcille’s Hospital in Loughlinstown, where a post-mortem will take place.
Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating both incidents.
