TWO MEN HAVE been charged after around €1.2 million worth of cocaine was seized by gardaí in Dublin yesterday.
As part of ongoing investigations under Operation Tara, which targets the sale and supply of controlled drugs, gardaí conducted a number of searches under warrant yesterday.
Additional support was provided by the Regional Armed Support Unit.
At a residence in Dublin 11, gardaí seized around 12kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €840,000.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene.
At another residence in Dublin 15, gardaí seized around 5.5kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €375,000.
A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene.
Both men have since been charged and are due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court this morning.
The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
