GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for information in relation to separate road collisions in Co Dublin and Co Offaly which have left two people seriously injured.

In Dublin, gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a collision involving a car and e-bike in Cabinteely shortly before 5pm, on the N11 at the junction with Johnstown Road.

The cyclist, a man in his 20s, was seriously injured and taken to Beaumont Hospital, where his condition is understood to be serious.

The scene is preserved for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward and anyone with any information or camera footage is asked to contact Dún Laoghaire Garda Station 01 6665000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

In a separate incident near Tullamore in Co Offaly, a single-vehicle collision involving a car occurred on the L2007 (Rahan Road) at Ballykeenaghan at around 9am.

The driver, a man in his 40s, was seriously injured and taken to Midlands Regional Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

There were no other occupants of the vehicle or injuries reported.

A technical examination of the scene has been conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since reopened to traffic.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the area between 8:15am and 9:15am are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
