Irish Summer

Sunburn index is high today (as long as you get sun)

Tomorrow looks set to have the best of the weather if you’re trying to make plans.

met Met Éireann Met Éireann

WELL, HELLO IRELAND, you’re looking clear this morning.

It’s a bank holiday weekend and if you’re lucky enough to be getting out for some or all of it, you’re in for some nice weather today and tomorrow. (Above is the rainfall radar at the moment. That’s right, there is none.)

There is however, some cloud cover around Cork, Dublin and Donegal right now – that’s expected to break a little in the afternoon when the sunburn index will be high whenever the sun peeps out. Connacht might get some scattered showers in late afternoon – sorry Connacht.

Tomorrow morning will be dry in most parts but clouds will build from the west in the afternoon, says Met Éireann, which will bring some drizzle to the west coast and in the evening in east Leinster. Inland Munster should have a nice sunny day of it, with temperatures getting up to 20 degrees Celsius in most areas at some point.

Watch out for Sunday when the weather becomes less settled. It might start off dry but there will be showers and drizzle, Later in the day, it will be drier on the west coast.

On Monday morning it looks like we’ll all get some rain and it will be less warm than Saturday and Sunday.
