IT’S SET TO be a rainy day in some parts of the country this weekend with a possibility of spot flooding.
A Status Yellow rain warning has been issue for eight counties, Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Louth and Meath.
The first warning – for Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Wexford and Wicklow – will kick in at 5pm and will remain in place until 4am tomorrow.
The second warning – for Louth and Meath – will kick in at 8pm this evening and remain in place until 6am tomorrow morning.
Met Éireann has warned that a spells of heavy or thundery rain, combined with saturated ground conditions, could lead to flooding, difficult travel conditions and disruption to outdoor events.
In the north, the UK Met Office has issued a rain warning and Antrim and Down. This kicked in at 12pm yesterday and will remain in place until 6pm today.
A second rain warning has also been issued to Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh and Tyrone – beginning at 9pm and will remain in place until 12pm tomorrow.
Looking at the general forecast, Met Éireann has said any early mist or fog patches will clear this morning to give way to sunny spells and scattered showers today. Some of these showers will be heavy and prolonged with a change of spot flooding.
Rain is forecast to develop in the southeast later this afternoon and will move north and westwards through the evening, heavy and thundery at times with local flooding possible.
Tides are expected to be very high along all coasts, leading to the possibility of coastal flooding.

Rain is due to continue to push northwards overnight, leading to a wert night for most with some heavy or thundery downpours.
Met Éireann said there will be an ongoing change of localised or coastal flooding.
The southwest may escape the worst of the rain, the forecaster said, as it’s expected to turn drier generally in southern parts later in the night.
However, further heavy showers may arrive in the southeast towards morning.
Further showers or longer spells of rain are forecast tomorrow, again leading to a chance of localised flooding.
There will be some dry and bright periods, too, however fog may linger in places, especially near southern coasts.

Why is the journal publishing that obvious falsehood? (I note that it does quote the health ministry in Gaza, “7,703 people, more than 3,000 of them children”, which is much more plausible.
Many thousands of Palestinians have been killed in the ongoing bombings, far more than died in the 7 Oct attacks.
Israel is behaving like a terrorist state, in response to the original Hamas attacks, (which were also very wrong).

In terms of Ukraine, yes, we did send non-lethal aid and give refuge, and while you claim support in the first sentence of your reply, the rest of your reply seems to begrudge the Ukrainians that aid. As to giving Palestinians refuge, they never needed it until Hamas kicked off the current round of troubles

We lucky it only rain the poor people of Palestine being mder by the thousands. While the west dose nothing. And any one whom supports the pal people is labelled a hamas supporter. Israel have played this very well they scarified a few of their own. To be allowed take control when they finished with Palestine they wont leave the will stay there probably with the UN labelled under some peace treaty and time like the rest of the region become is rale. Thats why they keep saying Gaza cause most will presume it a city in israel.
