# scattered showers
It's going to be wet and windy in many parts of the country today
Things will brighten up later in the day.

BRING AN UMBRELLA if you’re heading out this morning as it will be wet and windy across most of the country.

Things will brighten up later in the day and there will be some sunny spells however scattered showers will persist.

Met Eireann say some showers will turn heavy in the afternoon particularly in the northwest of the country.

There will be maximum temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees Celsius.

It will be cool and mostly dry tonight with some scattered showers in northern parts.  Mist will appear in some midland areas.

Tomorrow will be dry and bright in many areas with sunny spells in the east of the country.

Rain will move in to Atlantic coastal counties in the afternoon and to other areas in the evening.  Temperatures will reach 15 to 17 degrees in the afternoon.
